We are looking for a caring, understanding, and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our school to work 1:1 with specific children. Your duties, under the direction and supervision of a teacher and the Inclusion Leader, will include:-
Aiding the pupil to work in a group or on their own.
Adapting activities and materials to suit their needs.
Liaising with the class teacher and the Inclusion Leader on the implementation of the child’s Individual Learning Plan.
Establishing a supportive relationship with the pupil.
Encouraging the pupil to interact with others.
Sustaining the pupil’s efforts and developing their self-reliance and self-esteem.
Consistently implementing agreed behaviour strategies.
Supporting break time supervision.

Previous experience would be an advantage, but training will be given. You will be expected to complete training in safeguarding and any other qualifications relevant to the role.

Hours: 19.25 per week (Term time only)
Salary: FTE £21,269 - £21,776 (pro-rata £9,381- £9,777, depending on experience)
