Powell Corderoy Primary School in Dorking, Surrey is looking for a new Assistant Head who will have responsibility for leading Inclusion across our lovely school - whether you already have experience in a role like this, or are a seasoned class teacher looking to take the next step in your career, we would love to hear from you.

We are a small, friendly school situated in the beautiful Surrey Hills, with an abundance of outdoor space and fantastic facilities including a brand new, state-of-the-art library, children’s kitchen and wrap-around childcare. Our committed, motivated team of highly-skilled staff and governors work closely with parents and carers, meaning our school benefits from a supportive and cooperative community where children’s learning and wellbeing is very much a team effort. The children are probably the best thing about Powell Corderoy. They are interested and interesting.

Our high expectations for behaviour and learning mean they make great progress - in recent years achieving results among the best in Surrey.

Last academic year, OfSTED rated us good with outstanding features and were particularly impressed with the personal development opportunities on offer here. We have spent the last few years writing an ambitious bespoke curriculum which places real-life experiences at the heart of learning, and are now focused on embedding and refining this.
